- 1 box (3 oz) strawberry-flavored gelatin (Jell-O)
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup cold water
For the Frosting:
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
For the Strawberry Crunch Topping:
- 1 cup freeze-dried strawberries
- 1 cup Golden Oreos
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Instructions
1. Preparing the Cake
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set aside.
- Mix the Cake Batter: Prepare the white cake mix according to the package instructions, combining the mix with eggs, oil, and water. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake the Cake: Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool for about 10 minutes.
- Poke the Cake: Using the handle of a wooden spoon or a straw, poke holes all over the surface of the cake, spacing them about 1 inch apart. Make sure the holes reach the bottom of the cake to allow the gelatin to soak through.
