Instructions for Making Cheesy Chicken Quesadillas

Step 1: Season the Chicken

  1. If using cooked chicken, shred or dice it into small pieces and place it in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add the chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Toss the chicken with the spices to coat evenly.

Step 2: Prepare the Filling

  1. In a separate bowl, combine the shredded cheese, bell pepper, and red onion.
  2. Mix well to evenly distribute the cheese and vegetables.

Step 3: Assemble the Quesadillas

  1. Lay out the flour tortillas on a flat surface.
  2. On one half of each tortilla, layer a portion of the seasoned chicken and top it with the cheese and vegetable mixture.
  3. Fold the tortilla over the filling to create a half-moon shape.

Step 4: Cook the Quesadillas

  1. Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
