Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prepare the Filling

  1. Begin by heating a small skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil and minced garlic; sauté until the garlic is fragrant but not browned, about 1 minute.
  2. Add the chopped spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 2–3 minutes. This step removes excess moisture from the spinach, ensuring the crescents don’t become soggy.
  3. Transfer the cooked spinach to a mixing bowl and allow it to cool slightly.
  4. To the bowl, add crumbled feta, cream cheese, black pepper, salt, and your chosen herb if using. Mix thoroughly until the ingredients are well combined and form a creamy, cohesive filling.

2. Prepare the Crescent Dough

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into individual triangles as per the package instructions.
  3. Place each triangle on the prepared baking sheet, giving enough space between each for even baking.

3. Fill and Roll the Crescents

  1. Spoon a generous tablespoon of the spinach-feta filling onto the wide end of each crescent triangle.
  2. Carefully roll each crescent from the wide end to the narrow tip, encasing the filling inside. For a more secure roll, you can fold in the edges slightly before rolling to prevent any filling from spilling out.
  3. Once all crescents are filled and rolled, arrange them on the baking sheet with the seam side down.

4. Bake the Crescents

  1. Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10–12 minutes or until the crescents are golden brown and flaky.
  2. Remove the crescents from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a serving platter.
