For the Crust:
- 24 Oreo cookies, crushed into fine crumbs
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
For the Filling:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup cold milk
- 1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
For the Topping:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 8-10 Oreo cookies, crushed for garnish
Instructions
1. Preparing the Crust
- Crush the Oreos: Place the 24 Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until they become fine crumbs. Alternatively, you can place them in a sealed plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
- Mix with Butter: In a medium bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs with the melted butter. Stir until the mixture resembles wet sand.
- Form the Crust: Press the crumb mixture evenly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Use the bottom of a measuring cup or a flat glass to press the crumbs firmly.
- Chill the Crust: Place the crust in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to set.
2. Making the Filling
- Whip the Cream: In a large mixing bowl, whip 1 cup of heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Set aside.
- Mix Cream Cheese: In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, beating until well combined.
- Combine Ingredients: Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until smooth and well combined.
- Prepare Pudding: In a separate bowl, whisk together the cold milk and instant chocolate pudding mix for about 2 minutes, or until thickened.
- Layer the Filling: Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled Oreo crust. Then, spread the chocolate pudding over the cream cheese layer.
