Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Crust
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.
- In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the vanilla wafer crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Stir until the crumbs are well-coated and resemble wet sand.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan to create an even layer. Use the back of a spoon or a flat-bottomed glass to pack it down.
- Bake the crust for about 10 minutes, or until it’s lightly golden and set. Remove from the oven and let it cool while you prepare the cheesecake layer.
