Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients
- Lay Out the Tortillas: Arrange your tortillas on a clean, flat surface, making sure there’s enough room to roll them up easily.
- Spread the Sauce: Take a spoonful of pizza sauce and spread it evenly over each tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges to prevent overflow when rolling.
Step 2: Add Toppings
- Sprinkle the Cheese: Spread a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce. For extra cheesiness, you can add a blend of mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Layer on the Toppings: Arrange the pepperoni slices or other desired toppings on top of the cheese. Avoid overfilling, as this will make rolling more difficult and may cause the filling to spill out.
Step 3: Roll Up the Tortillas
- Roll Each Tortilla Tightly: Starting from one end, roll the tortilla up tightly, securing the fillings inside. For a snug roll, gently press the tortilla as you roll it.
- Seal the Edge: Lightly brush the edge of each tortilla roll with a bit of water or pizza sauce to help it stick.
Step 4: Prepare the Air Fryer
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and preheat for a few minutes.
- Arrange the Roll Ups: Place the pizza roll ups seam-side down in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each roll for even cooking. If needed, cook in batches.
- Lightly Brush with Oil: Use a pastry brush to lightly coat each roll up with olive oil or cooking spray. This will help them achieve a crispy, golden exterior.
